Parking update

Westgate Leisure Centre is delighted to announce an improved parking experience for all customers and members, with 3 hours of free parking now available – an increase from the previous 2-hour allowance.

The change is part of our ongoing commitment to making visits to the centre as convenient and enjoyable as possible, while helping to ensure parking spaces remain available for those using our facilities.

To support the new parking arrangements, a new Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) parking system will be installed on Tuesday 21st and Wednesday 22nd July. The car park will remain open throughout the installation period, although customers are asked to take extra care while contractors are working on site.

The new system will be fully operational from Wednesday 22nd July.

How it works

Claiming your free parking is simple. Customers will need to register their vehicle using one of the registration points located throughout the centre. Whether you choose to tap, scan a QR code, or use one of the available iPads, registering your vehicle only takes a few moments.

Registration points can be found at Reception, the Gym, the Crèche and other key locations throughout the leisure centre, making it quick and convenient no matter where your visit begins.

More flexibility for your visit

One of the biggest benefits of the new system is that your free parking allowance can be used more than once a day. After your initial 3-hour stay, you can return later and enjoy another 3 hours of free parking, provided you allow at least 30 minutes between visits before re-entering the car park.

These improvements have been introduced to make every visit to Westgate Leisure Centre as convenient as possible, giving customers more time to enjoy the facilities while supporting fair access to parking for everyone.
